The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) is one of 47 Wildlife Trusts across the UK working to achieve the shared aim of securing a better future for wildlife. BBOWT’s vision is to create a region rich in wildlife, valued by all. BBOWT has over 52,000 members. BBOWT brings people and nature together to protect our environment. Our experts work with more than 1,400 volunteers to look after over 80 nature reserves, four education centres and run hundreds of amazing events. We rely on the generosity of individuals, charitable trusts and businesses.
BBOWT manages three nature reserves within the catchment area of the River Thame: Weston Turville Reservoir, Wells Farm and Rushbeds Wood. You can find out more about these reserves and others in the area from www.bbowt.org.uk/wildlife/reserves
If you’re keen to brush up your ecology skills or learn something new, take a look at the BBOWT Developing Your Skills events www.bbowt.org.uk/whats-on and search under DYS.
BBOWT has volunteer work parties based at Meadow Farm, covering the Upper Ray Living Landscape area and mid-Bucks nature reserves. There are also work parties at Weston Turville Reservoir, Finemere Wood and north Bucks.
