Creating clean water ponds for freshwater wildlife – a talk by Dr. Pascale Nicolet

April 27 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

£2.50

The gradual loss of ponds from the countryside is a long-recognised problem.

What has only recently become apparent is that the wildlife value of those that remain is often seriously damaged by pollution, including nutrients, now widespread in many landscapes. But the fightback is on!

In this talk, Dr. Pascale Nicolet from Freshwater Habitats Trust will tell us about a number of studies and projects, including the Million Ponds Project, which provide the tools and encouragement to do something about it.

There will also be tips about the creation and care of garden ponds, a pond probably being the single biggest factor in bringing wildlife in to your garden.

Admission free to members, £2.50 for non-members.
