RTCT works not just for the river and its wildlife, but for people. Through involving people in our work people become more engaged about the issues rivers face, through taking action themselves, and acting as advocates for the natural environment.
Importantly, engagement with the natural environment has marked benefits for physical and mental wellbeing. So whether it is through volunteering with RTCT on our various projects, undertaking citizen science, participating in RTCT events such as Rivers Week, or just following our work on social media people are core to our purpose.
We are a small registered charity and rely on grants and donations to keep our important work for wildlife and water quality going.
